Aloe anyone?

A few weeks after discovering I was pregnant with Ranger, I bought an Aloe plant, about three inches tall.

We still have that plant, plus several offshoots I couldn't bring myself to prune. You can imagine there has been a lot of growth. But recently there was a surprise.

Sure, I put fake flowers in the pot, but that was for lack of any other place to put them. It's not like I was encouraging the thing to flower. I did not know Aloe plants flowered. I picked aloe as my house plant because it is hard to kill and useful for burns. Now I am curious to see what the blooms will look like.
