The back story: In 2006 I agreed to move to NYC, but only if we could leave if I hated it after a year.

A year passed and...I didn't just hate it. I loathed it. BUT the timing was wrong so we figured one more year.

And all that year I hated it.

The following year I didn't quite hate it as much. And by year three- I didn't want to leave.

Now? I can't imagine living anywhere else.
